Bargaining Team Campaign Kick-off!

Dear AFSCME Local 2620 Members,

As we prepare for the upcoming contract negotiations, your bargaining team is embarking on a state-wide tour to connect directly with you! We are excited to announce that our first stop will be in Fresno on March 19th. Following Fresno, we will visit Sacramento, Los Angeles, Bakersfield, and San Diego. These visits are essential to our campaign to ensure that your voice is heard loud and clear in negotiating our next union contract.

What's Happening?

Our goal is to engage deeply with you. Each stop on our tour will include work site visits where we can meet face-to-face, discuss your current work conditions, and gather your invaluable input on what you desire in your next contract. Understanding your needs will empower us to negotiate the best possible terms.

Additionally, we will host a dinner in each city, providing a relaxed setting for more personal conversations and to strengthen our union community.

Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.

For Members in Non-Visited Areas

Not in one of the cities we're visiting? No worries! Our dedicated Occupational Chairs are developing plans to engage with members, ensuring that all voices are included. Keep an eye out for upcoming meetings and discussions organized by your Occupational Chair.

Dates and Planning

The first visit will be in Fresno on March 19th. We are still finalizing the dates for the other cities and will share those details as soon as they are confirmed. Your involvement is crucial, so we encourage you to mark your calendars and make your voices heard.

Let's Make This Contract Our Best Yet!

This is more than just a bargaining campaign; it's our chance to come together as a community with a common goal. Your participation is key to our success. Stay tuned for more details on the specifics of our visits and how you can get involved.

Together, let's shape a future that reflects our needs, values, and hard work.

In Unity,

Your Bargaining Team
