• Arbitration (Executive Officers)

  Represent members in disputes that reach arbitration, safeguarding rights and ensuring the contract is upheld.

• Budget & Finance 

  Manage the union’s budget, oversee spending, and ensure financial decisions are transparent and accountable.

• Communication 

  Create and share newsletters, social media content, and updates that keep members informed, engaged, and connected.

• Constitution Committee

  Keep the Local’s constitution current, accurate, and aligned with modern language and practices and helping to maintain the foundation of our union’s structure.

• Contracting Out 

  Monitor outsourcing practices and advocate for keeping state jobs within the union workforce.

• Convention 

  Plan and coordinate Local 2620’s biannual convention and membership meeting.

• Elections 

  Oversee fair, transparent, and democratic election processes for the union.

• Good & Welfare 

  Support members in need, celebrate milestones, and strengthen our sense of community.

• Government Affairs (Occupational Chairs) 

  Advocate for legislation and policies that protect state employees and the professions they represent.

• Membership Organizing

  Lead efforts to grow our membership, build workplace power, and increase active participation.

• Next Wave

  Inspire and equip new and younger members to get involved, lead, and build the union’s future.

• Policy Committee 

  Review and update Local 2620’s policies and procedures so they remain relevant, clear, and responsive to today’s workplace needs.

• Professional Retention 

  Identify and promote strategies that boost job satisfaction, reduce turnover, and support long-term career growth.
