June 5th Coalition Lobby Day

In the Sacramento Region? Please Join Us!

The deadline to submit union leave for the June 5, 2025, rally has passed but if you’re in the area, we still need you! If you’re off for the day, on a lunch break, or have time to step away, come stand with us and make your voice heard.

The Governor’s May Revise budget proposes $767 million in salary cuts for state workers. We cannot stay silent while the State tries to balance the budget on the backs of hardworking public employees!

We’ll be gathering at our AFSCME booth at 10:30 AM on Thursday, June 5.

Please sign in when you arrive so we can confirm your attendance. We’ll have extra AFSCME green shirts and swag available for those who join us.

This is your opportunity to fight back—not just for yourself, but for every AFSCME member across California. Bring your family, friends, and loved ones, the more voices, the stronger the message.

Here’s the plan:

  • 10:30 AM: Meet at the AFSCME booth, sign in, grab your shirt and swag.

  • Join the press conference at the Capitol steps.

  • March together to the Swing Space Annex to deliver our message directly to legislators.

  • After the rally and lobbying, we’ll return to the Capitol for a lunch and sign out.

Your presence matters. Let’s show the State that we will not be the solution to their budget deficit!

For those who cannot attend in person or are outside the Sacramento region you can still help by contacting your local State Assembly member or State Senator to share your concerns about the $767 million in proposed salary cuts.
