Update #2: CCHCS RTO Meet & Confer Team
We met with CalHR today regarding CCHCS’s continued inability to provide a clear and complete plan for implementing the Governor’s Return-To-Office order. We even heard from CCHCS this evening and still have nothing new to add.
As of today, June 29, CCHCS is still planning to move forward with implementation on July 1, despite not having a finalized plan in place. This remains a serious concern. Members deserve clear direction, consistent information, and a transparent process before any major workplace change is implemented.
We still have one additional day scheduled to continue meeting with CalHR and CCHCS. During these meetings, AFSCME will continue pressing for answers, including who is impacted, what exemptions or considerations are being applied, and how CCHCS intends to implement this order fairly and consistently.
Important STD 200 Guidance
If your manager is directing you to complete an STD 200 as part of this return-to-office implementation, please complete the form using the language AFSCME previously provided.
Under Item C-4, please include the following language:
“This form is being completed under the directive of my manager, who is stating that I will not be eligible for telework if I do not complete an STD 200. I do not consent to my current schedule being changed as my bargaining unit is still in negotiations with the Department.”
Please keep a copy of the completed form for your records.
This guidance is specific to the current return-to-office implementation and is not related to the annual telework agreement that members complete each year.
We understand that many members are frustrated, confused, and concerned. Please continue to document any instructions you receive from management, keep copies of any forms or notices provided to you, and put questions or concerns in writing when possible.
We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.
In Solidarity,
