This Week in Bargaining: Progress, Preparation, and Union Power
This week, your AFSCME Local 2620 Bargaining Team continued pushing negotiations forward passing 11 additional proposals.
The proposals we’ve put on the table are grounded in the priorities you’ve told us matter most protecting working conditions, supporting retention, improving scheduling practices, and expanding access to professional development. We’re also continuing to refine our financial proposals through rigorous research and data to ensure our demands are backed by both evidence and equity.
This round of bargaining was conducted virtually, and even through a computer monitor, your bargaining team came prepared, focused, and united. While we were ready for meaningful engagement from the State, we encountered limited movement on their part.
But make no mistake we are not slowing down.
Our preparation is our power. Our unity is our leverage. And our vision is clear.
We will continue to press forward until this contract reflects the true value of the work you do every day.
Stay engaged. Stay informed. Stay union strong.
In Solidarity,
Your Bargaining Team
